About Ohio District 14 Partners
We are a community of neighbors in five counties in Northeast Ohio. We are affiliated with the national Indivisible Organization and so are part of a network of over 2,000 local grassroots groups. Our focus is working to protect democracy, not partisan politics. We want everyone in our community to have the opportunity to be successful and have a voice in our future. We are driven by knowledge that our shared values are stronger than our political differences.
Our Shared Values Foundation
We believe that a healthy society is built on the values most of us carry in our daily lives:
Self-Reliance: The pride of standing on our own two feet.
Opportunity: The belief that everyone deserves an equal shot.
The Dignity of Work: The value of a day’s labor and the respect it earns.
Love of Family, Friends, and Community: The center of our lives and the reason we strive for a better future.
Personal freedoms: The ability to live our own lives free of government interference and limitations
Moving Beyond the Labels
We are tired of the divisions! We refuse to be pigeonholed as “red” or “blue” and pitted against one another by a political system that profits from our conflict.
Instead of fighting over labels, we choose to work for the practical goals that a vast majority of Americans support, for example:
A Prosperous Economy: Jobs that can truly support individuals and families.
Quality Education: Ensuring our children are prepared for the future.
Affordable Healthcare: Accessible care that doesn’t break the bank.
Secure Retirement: Dignity and stability for those who have spent a lifetime working.
Fair elections: Where the influence of gerrymandering and the wealth of billionaires do not play a part.
Our Call to Action
We can no longer expect political leaders to “take care of business” for us. Both major parties have lost their way, placing partisan winning and special interests above common-sense problem solving.
We, the people, have always been responsible for driving change. It is time to take an active role in shaping the next chapter of our democracy, starting right here in our own community.
