About Ohio District 14 Partners
We are neighbors in Ohio’s 14th Congressional District who decided that hoping for change is not enough. We formed because our freedoms and our democracy are being eroded and have been put at risk. This country is being taken in a direction most of us never agreed to, and do not want. Some examples:
- Military action without the authorization the Constitution requires.
- Tariffs imposed without following the process the law sets out.
- Officials slow to comply with court rulings.
- Districts drawn so that elections are settled before anyone votes.
- Money buying political access that ordinary people will never have.
- American citizens being arrested by masked police.
Meanwhile the reforms that will make government work — fair voting districts, limits on money in politics, honest administration, term limits — have had majority support for years and still don’t become law. Agreement among voters, it turns out, is not what moves legislation.
Where we stand
We are not affiliated with any political party and take direction from none. We support the Constitution, the rule of law, and the reforms necessary to keep our democracy functioning in the 21st century.
We judge officeholders and candidates against published criteria, applied the same way to everyone.
We are not neutral, and we don’t pretend to be. Nonpartisan doesn’t mean silent. We advocate the people vote for the individual that will be represent their interests, not those of a party or wealthy group of donors.
How we work
We have no staff, no office, and no paid organizers. Everything gets done by volunteers.
A small leadership team runs the group. Decisions are made by motion and recorded vote. We are building an organization meant to last through multiple election cycles, not a campaign that folds in November.
We are affiliated with Indivisible and work alongside other Indivisible groups and civic organizations across northeast Ohio.
