We are all partners in defending democracy! We believe that democracy’s strength lies in ordinary people doing extraordinary things. We are not affiliated with any political party. We welcome anyone — regardless of background, experience, or where you fall on the political spectrum — who wants to contribute to protecting our democracy.

Have you had enough yet?

Are you fed up with the empty promises, lies, threats and embarrassing actions of our government officials? Are you concerned about what the future holds for you, your children, grandchildren, or friends and neighbors? Are you worried that our democracy is slipping away?

You’re not alone — and you don’t have to sit on the sidelines.

We encourage people of all ages and backgrounds to become engaged in our political process to preserve and strengthen our democracy. You will find information on this website presenting many opportunities to become involved. The stakes have become too high to stand by hoping for change. It is up to all of us to become engaged and help make change happen!

Ohio District 14 Partners advocate for:

➤ Holding our elected officials accountable. We expect elected officials to focus on the the desires of working Americans, not the interests of a few individuals or corporations.

➤ Electing representatives at each of the local, state, and federal levels that are strong advocates for democracy and the rule of law.

➤ Reforms that protect democracy. Leading examples include: eliminating gerrymandering; eliminating the influence of large private and corporate donors to elections or PACs; steps to eliminate even the appearance of corruption by government officials.

➤ Steps to elect those candidates that actively represent the interests of most Americans. Candidates for an election must not be selected by a small group of partisan voters in a closed primary. Reforms are required which recognize that most voters do not have, or want, a party affiliation. Open primaries and ranked choice voting are reforms worthy of consideration.

We are in this for the long haul!

There is immediate action needed to make the most of the 2026 mid-term elections. Then more to be ready for 2028. It will take years to repair the damage done to our democracy and relationships with other countries. And even more time to enact reforms to prevent threats to our democracy taking place again. Reforms are required to make our democracy resilient throughout the 21st century.
